SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

Violinist Daisuke Yamamoto, originally from Marietta, Ga is currently a violin fellow in the New World Symphony.  In 2006 he graduated with his Masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of William Preucil, concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, and David Cerone, former president of CIM. He also graduated with his Bachelors from CIM as a student of David and Linda Cerone.  Additional mentors include Ronald Patterson, Kathleen Winkler, Naoko Tanaka, and members of the Cavani, Miami, and Cleveland Quartets.  As an avid orchestral performer he has performs with the Canton Symphony, Akron Symphony, and Youngstown Symphony.  He has also performed with the Cleveland Orchestra on many occasions, including subscription concerts, recordings, and on their 2008 European tour.  He has also served as concertmaster for a variety of orchestras including the New World Symphony, Spokane Symphony,  Youngstown Symphony,  Kent/Blossom Festival Orchestra, and the CIM orchestra.  His orchestral performances has taken him to many great concerts halls in American and Europe, including Carnegie Hall, Festspielhaus, and the KKL Concert Hall.  He has played under such notable conductors as Michael Tilson-Thomas, Franz Welser Most, James Conlon, Alexander Lazarev, Miguel Harth-Bedoya, Louis Lane, Larry Rachleff, Paul Polivnick, Jeffrey Tate, and David Zinman.  He has performed solo and chamber music at the ENCORE School for Strings, Aspen Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, Music Academy of the West, Starling Delay Symposium for Violin Studies, New Hampshire Music Festival, and Chamber Music San Juans.  He has performed chamber music with members of the Cleveland Orchestra, Duo Patterson, Jerry Wong, among others.
